Introducing Dr. Mark J. Maher

Dr. Mark Maher

I was born and raised in St. Louis, as a matter of fact my child hood home is across Watson Road from our office and six homes down on Heather Drive.  Hard to imagine 40 some odd years ago I was playing baseball and flying model airplanes on the lot where my practice is now located.

Now to answer the famous  St. Louis question “where did you go to school?”   All of my grade school years were spent at Our Lady of Providence and I am a graduate of Vianney High School.  Following high school I moved to Kansas City Missouri and attended Cleveland College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Matthew Buck

Dr. Matthew BuckI am native to the St. Louis area where I was raised in Oakville with my two sisters, Jenny and Laura.  We all went to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, and then I attended Vianney High School.   While at Vianney, I participated in track and field and racquetball.  My initial interest in chiropractic was sparked by my racquetball coach, Dr. Maher.   My college years were spent in Springfield, MO, where I attended Southwest Missouri State studying biomedical sciences.  After shadowing Dr. Maher and seeing the quality of care that he gave his patients I decided that chiropractic was a good fit for me as well.  I moved back to St. Louis and attended Logan College of Chiropractic graduating with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2006.

Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to St Louis residents - Chiropractor St Louis Dr. Mark Asks...

How long will you need chiropractic care?
You'll need chiropractic care as long as you live in St Louis and encounter physical, chemical or emotional stress that you cannot adapt to or accommodate. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our St Louis office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
